Applause for our alumni Julian and Konstantin and curtain up for ‘Tafiti – Off Through the Desert’

Autumn is here, and with it the cinema season! And today is a very special day for our two alumni Julian Lehman and Konstantin Filippov: the animated film Tafiti – Off Through the Desert is being released in German cinemas.

Tafiti is a heartwarming desert adventure about the meerkat boy Tafiti, friendship, courage and solidarity. The meerkats, bat-eared foxes and other characters were brought to life by the VFX and animation professionals at Red Parrot Studios. Our two alumni Julian Lehman as Character LookDev Artist and Konstantin Filippov as Character Rigging Artist played an active role in the creation of the film.

Tafiti – Off Through the Desert celebrated its German premiere on 28 June 2025 at the Munich Film Festival, where it was awarded the Audience Award. The film was produced by Tradewind Pictures and directed by Nina Wels. Click here for the official trailer:
