Gamescom 2026 Recap: Reunion, Networking, and Inspiration at the Alumni Meet & Greet
Gamescom 2026 is officially wrapped up—and what a fantastic convention it was once again! Amidst all the gaming highlights and trade fair impressions, our personal highlight was, as always, the opportunity to come together: Our Alumni Meet & Greet was a huge success and a truly heartfelt moment for our entire team.
It was awesome to see students, industry professionals, and alumni mingling and exchanging ideas in such a great atmosphere. We were particularly thrilled to welcome many new alumni faces—former students who completed their time at SAE ages ago and found their way back to connect with us.
It brings us so much joy to listen to your stories: hearing about the companies and positions you’ve landed in, the exciting career paths you’ve followed, and the journeys you’ve taken over the years. Seeing how many of you are thriving and successful in the industry today—while still holding onto your roots and memories at SAE—makes us incredibly proud!
A Massive Thank You!
A huge thank you to everyone who dropped by to chat, reminisce, and make new connections. An equally big thank you goes out for your continuous readiness to give back: Whether at conventions, panel talks, or guest lectures—your willingness to talk about your career, your current work, and to share your insights with the next generation is truly special and invaluable to our community.
We are already looking forward to next year and hope to welcome even more of you at our next Gamescom Alumni Meet & Greet!
