Short Film Day (kurzfilmtag) on December 16th, 2024, at the SAE Bunkerin Hamburg. This event is designed to inspire and connect creative minds within the Hamburg filmmaking and acting communities.
We believe that SAE Hamburg’s talented students and alumni would greatly benefit from participating in this unique event. The program includes:
- Screenings of bold and unconventional short films across various genres.
- Networking opportunities with producers, directors, actors, and other creative professionals in the industry.
This is an exceptional platform for aspiring filmmakers to engage with seasoned professionals, showcase their talents, and forge new collaborations.

Was ist der KURZFILMTAG?
"...Einmal im Jahr, am 21. Dezember, verwandeln sich landauf, landab die unterschiedlichsten Orte in temporäre Kinos. Dort, aber auch in vielen echten Kinos bestimmt dann das kurze Format den Spielplan. Über 25.000 Zuschauer*innen machen sich am kürzesten Tag des Jahres zwischen Husum und Konstanz auf den Weg, um auf professioneller oder improvisierter Leinwand in kurzfilmische Welten einzutauchen. ...Gleichzeitig wird mit dem KURZFILMTAG auf die hohe Kreativität und Produktivität der deutschen Kurzfilmszene aufmerksam gemacht. ... Geboren wurde der KURZFILMTAG 2011 in Frankreich als „Le jour le plus court“. Seit 2012 findet er in Deutschland statt und wird von der AG Kurzfilm, dem Bundesverband Deutscher Kurzfilm, koordiniert. Der KURZFILMTAG hat sich inzwischen zu einem international bedeutsamen Kulturereignis entwickelt, mehr als 20 Länder nehmen teil.
